To test the water quality of water sources of all the villages (Thrice in a year) 1,20,000 water samples by 2012. To periodically monitor the quality of drinking water with water sampling done twice in a year, to a maximum of 2500 water samples by 2012. To provide periodic list of unfit ground water sources after testing the water quality- covering rural, tribal and urban areas. (excessive fluoride, salinity or nitrate) Major activities undertaken for IEC plans Water quality testing in villages and sanitary survey of water sources. Water quality testing of at all municipalities. Finding out number of villages where ground water is unfit for human consumption.
